Permanent makeup is the art and science of implanting color into your skin. It is putting the right color in the right place, so you can look better naturally. Specialized instruments allow your Micropigmentation professional to place color into the layer of skin known as the dermis. Because the outermost layer of the skin, the epidermis, is always shedding and renewing itself, you are looking at the color through a thin veil of skin. When a procedure is completed, the color will flake off during the healing process, lightening the overall effect. Because the color is placed under your skin and not on your skin, a more natural, softer look results. A cosmetic tattoo is a way to save time and make your life easier. Micropigmentation lasts a long time, but not forever. As you become accustomed to your new makeup, it’s not uncommon to want more. You will want to freshen up your new make up every couple of years. The darker the color, the longer it will stay unchanged in your skin. Natural, delicate colors are oftentimes more vulnerable to the effects of sun, swimming, and breakdown by body’s natural response.
Color, shade, and definition are build up over two or more if needed applications one 3 to 6 weeks apart. In this approach, color can be accurately blended with person’s undertones. By proceeding cautiously and slowly, I can make adjustments in color, tones, and shading. I also believe in a “less is more” approach when proceeding. It is easier to add later than be aggressive in the beginning.
The initial procedure will generally take approximately from 1, 1/2 to 2, 1/2 hours. Follow up procedure usually, do not take as much time as the initial procedure.
